Maximum PC | World-Exclusive Review: The R.A.T.7 is the Best Gaming Mouse Ever

The best customizable mouse in my opinion but shit ugly.

I was looking at that but it looks very uncomfortable and i was also looking at the ROCCAT Kone. but most posts here seem to suggest a lot cheaper mouses with less dpi but i dont know if dpi is important?

The higher the dpi, the faster your mouse pointer reacts.

Kinda. The higher the dpi, faster it can travel around the screen. It is a measure of sensitivity and like everything too much can be self destructing. Take Counter-Strike for example, who wants to awp with 5600dpi where all they'll do is whiff and overflick? In reality, anything over 1800 is irrelevant.

"Technology has progressed to a level where you can move your mouse, say, one inch on your desk, and your cursor will move 2 or 3 times your screen length. That sounds impressive for sure, but where is the real value in that?" Rom asked. "That doesn't make you more precise or accurate; I would argue that it does exactly the opposite. A higher DPI in a mouse doesn't offer a lot of value, and it is not a benchmark for how precise or awesome the mouse is. It's simply a measure of sensitivity."

I'd suggest the Cooler Master Sentinel Twin Laser Mouse i recently bought this when my razer imperator broke and i must say it is much better, 8 buttons, its an all around mouse, large right handed and very adjustable(dpi, sensitivity, doubleclick time) it also has multiple profiles you can keep to change color or your settings w/e you want.

I got mine from Cooler Master Sentinel Twin Laser Mouse - 5600 DPI, Weight Adjustment System, OLED Profile Management, OctoShade LED Tech at TigerDirect.com

found it to be cheaper than newegg when i bought it.

high DPI with low mouse sensitivity actually does help to have a smoother flowing movement.. its online read about it! I have my G9 at max DPI and I do feel a big difference from my old mouse.

That's what i liked about the rat 7 you posted. it has a button on it which slows down the dpi for sniping or something. However i dont play games much any more but i do a lot of surfing the net.

I also saw that but are those lights always on or can you turn them off?

Yes you can turn off the lights or change the colors personally i have my lights off or keep em blue to match my tower and keyboard

you can also pick which light is on like there are 2 in the front(which i think are dumb) or the main one in back, but its preference
