Keep the xbox on its side always. I knocked over Jewbot's xbox when we were playing rockband and it dug a ring into the disk. We keep the xbox on its side know.

 

 

Exact same thing happend to me with the same game. I had brought my Xbox and my copy of Rock Band over to a friend's house, was the day after Christmas and I had gotten it for the holidays. Near the end of the night his little cousin knocked over my Xbox and the game wouldnt play if I scrolled too far down the song list so I took the game out and looked at it, there was a very deep ring of scratches on the disk. Had to go buy a new copy of the game :glare:
