Well maybe it would be better to say that I have a belief system other than Atheist. I believe (99%) that no gods exist, but I don't know that no gods exist, I have no proof. I'm open to anything, there just needs to be something backing it up if I'm going to believe it. I suppose I shouldn't really label myself as anything because to be honest, I do not know everything behind each belief system. Maybe there's something in Atheism that says the world is made of jello, but that doesn't mean I believe that.

I don't claim to know true (100%) answers to anything, but I think I have a good idea of some things. One of those being that the mainstream religions are full of flat out lies because they have absolutely no evidence to back up any of what they are saying. But for all I know, it is all true, I just really really don't think so.

Maybe calling myself an Atheist isn't proper, I don't know, I just thought that the general ideals were kind of what I believe.

And if there is a god, or gods (or have been at one point in human history), the only explanation I can think of for them are alien life forms that were here thousands of years ago and impressed a bunch of primitives with their technology. And that would make the word god nothing more than an exaggeration of a more advanced civilization. But in modern day, I see no reason to believe in gods, because there has been no evidence of such things, past or present. Unless you count the pyramids and things like that, but nobody has brought to light (to the public?) any real evidence of an alien presence.

But still, the only thing I see going for religion is that it cannot be dis proven, and can be claimed to be true until otherwise is proven.

You can't really use science to disprove religion because a god (or gods) doesn't (or don't) have to abide by the rules of science. Even if he/she/it/they did, the rules would be changed.

Also, science can neither prove the existence of a god/gods. People who rely on evidence to support their religion are typically close minded people who fail to realize other religions claimed the same things happened or occurred.

To me, it is either there are no gods, or every religion's god/gods exist at the same time. I really don't know either way and I don't really care. Atheists and religious people are just people who make up their mind about something, but they are idiots if they think their way is the only correct way. There is nothing wrong with either stance except when they try to proclaim they are right and you are wrong.
