kabLe Posted July 12, 2011 Content Count: 2206 Joined: 08/30/09 Status: Offline Share Posted July 12, 2011 I plan on buying the ram already. Thats why I need the mobo/cpu/video card. I have a PSU that will support everything and is good and if need be I can even stick my current ram in there until I get the new ram. But the CPU/Mobo/Video card are the three things I need to turn on the machine and be able to run it by putting my current ram in there. Link to comment
Chaoz` Posted July 12, 2011 Content Count: 1740 Joined: 04/04/10 Status: Offline Share Posted July 12, 2011 I'm going to be using this computer for gaming. I mean like anything that could come out in 2-3 years I'd be able to run just fine without upgrading anything. Chaoz, a few questions. Whats bad about the GTX 550 TI that seperates it from the GTX 560? Idk what u mean by "but seeing as the Llano CPU's (socket FM1) are out you should get that 1 as it's a bit like the Sandy Bridge but from AMD." Is the new FM1 socket better then the six core? If I could get a cheap Quad-Core that has at least 3.5 ghz I'd be happy to cut the cost there as well seeing as almost nothing iscalling for a full out quad core yet. EDIT: With this big video card and obviously a lot of bigger sized hardware and a lot of heat should I got for a full sized tower rather then a mid sized? well you asked for advice and i gave it, but seeing as you know enough, or atleast think you do. the GTX550 is a lowbudget gaming card with low specs with only a 192-bit interface, just pay a bit more and get the gtx560 or pay loads more and get the 570 as you said. if buy a Llano CPU with onboard GPU (6000 series) in the CPU and a AMD GPU you can crossfire them which improves the graphics more. also the 6 core doesn't support any games yet, but it's good for in the future. at this moment the FM1 blows away the AM3 or AM3+, performance-wise tho Link to comment
