Seeing as though the races for first are really tight, I thought I'd give some predictions as to whom will reach the playoffs and my mvp and cy young picks

NL

east: phillies, easy pick they have big bats and one of the best pitching staffs ever.

west:D-backs, have solid bats and solid pitching, their edge on offense will help them past sf

central:cards, pick from my heart, they always put together a run the lack of experience of

the other teams will catch them up. Larussa will prevail.

Wild card:braves, with uggla heating up, they could even make a run for first place in east.

AL

east: bosox, best offense in baseball (hate them)

west: rangers, they're getting hot, although they will run away with the al west, they will fall short in playoffs.

central: tigers, I'm dying a bit on the inside as i love the indians but they have injuries that will catch up and the young studs wont be able to triumph.

wild card: yankees, they're not a team, they're an empire they should start a league of their own (also hate them)

MVP

nl: Matt Kemp LAD, insane stats, without him, the dodgers would be in AAA

al: Jose Bautista TOR: leader in HRs, great average, he deserves it.

*runner up al*: Asdrubal Cabrera CLE, he has carried this young team, to my eyes, he is the most valuable to his team in regards to their success, but jose is jose.

cy young

nl: Roy Halladay PHI, consistent, has great stats, by far the best pitcher in nl.

al: Jered Weaver LAA, best era in league, dominant best pitcher in the league to my eyes.

*runner up* Justin Verlander DET, great season for him felt like if i had to mention his name.

honorable mention***

Doug Fister SEA, with an ERA of 3.30, he has a record of 3-11, deserves better than that, hopes he gets dealt for next season.

Agree? disagree? let me know what you think!

Lol last year no one thought the Giants would even make the playoffs. You never know in baseball. :d

There was no doubting the Giants pitching staff though last year. It was there so-so offense. Pirates have a so-so offense and a so-so pitching staff. Although, you're right... never know when a team gets hot.
