When I'm in a Skype call, I can only hear the person I'm talking to. I cant hear videos, music, games etc. If someone could help me here, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment

I think I know what happens to it, haven't figured out how to fully solve it. I just know that when you make a call, Skype reduces background noise for better call quality. Try listening to music before you call and keep it going. Once you make your call, listen and see if noise gets reduced. Link to comment

(Or something) and there should be a "Reduce sound by 80%, Reduce sound by 50%, Do nothing" something something something. Choose "Do nothing." I run Skype through my iPod (app) always, but I had this issue in CSS, whenever CSS ran it reduced all other noise by 80% and drove me crazy. If that doesn't fix it, it should be a sound option in Skype itself. Sorry for the bad directions, I'm going purely off memory as I can't boot into windows at all... -.- So I might have missed a step, or the titles might not be right, but right click your sound icon and just navigate through there for a while and you should find it. (This was for win7 for me). 1 Link to comment
