kabLe Posted August 13, 2011 Content Count: 2206 Joined: 08/30/09 Status: Offline Share Posted August 13, 2011 So Im putting together a new pc and I finally got everything connected and the pc was turning on and Im prety sure everthing was working except the monitor wasnt working. When i would turn on the pc the monitor would just say thatthere was no vga single but i had the cord plugged into monitor and the back of thepc. i had no idea what was goin on so im hoping someone here knows how to fix it. I switched my monitor to DVI and the samething happened. I've used a DVI and a VGA wire and the same thing happens. At this point, I'm thinking that I might've messed up setting it up but everything seems to work. And even if I set something up I don't see that interfering with the monitor working. Link to comment

Also, Since this is a common feature any more - Is it on a DVI or VGA Input - Because mine has DVI VGA and HDMI Inputs. Link to comment

sebak Posted August 13, 2011 Content Count: 1710 Joined: 02/03/11 Status: Offline Share Posted August 13, 2011 cant you use ur tv? just to make sure nothing is wrong with ur video card. some tv's have vga ports. or connect a laptop to your montior and see if that works. i had the same problem as you and it was actaully my motherboard was defective. all else fails. buy a new monitor if it still dont work, you can return it. I uesd my old motherboard and everything worked the monitor was fine and what not and the video card is fine. Which is now why I just can't figure our whats wrong with it. I have no idea and cannot think of anything. Obviously the monitor isn't borken but I need some serious help here guys lol. I'm wondering if maybe its cause its not an intel board and its an AMD board now. And this is my monitor: ASUS VW224U Black 22" 2ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor w/ HDCP Support 300 cd/m2 1000:1 (ASCR 5000:1) Built in Speakers Link to comment
