I don't see why I'd pay 200$ for this, although I do like its camera.

 

what else would you spend 200 on that is as good??

 

apple haters never cease to amaze me.. there is the cool trend of having apple products and then there is the cool trend of hating them because you either cant afford it or you mom wont buy it for you...

 

Also anyone of you can show me a tablet that is TSO certified and has as many aviation related apps/ features as the Ipad I give you a cookie!!! (phone is not TSOed but still has the apps and features)

Its not like they mark up their product when they come out with a new one. they lower the price of the old one and sell the new one the same price as the old ones... a contract is 2 years what ever is out then is what you buy.. mine ends in February maybe an iphone will be out by then ;)

It works the same with GPUS CPUS even clothing for that matters... ITS BUSINESS!!!!

I'm still using first generation iPhone, 4th year going I think, feels good man. It has fallen on concrete, all types of floor, in snow, used it while it rains outside etc. still nothing wrong with it. Are the newer versions of iPhone as durable?

Not really.. Did the 1st Gen have aluminum backing? I think it did... But compare that dropping to cheap plastic and glass.. The durability isn't great. My brothers iPhone 4 has a crack on the front side (then again you should've seen what he did to his 3GS...god help that device..) and after that he stuck a case on it. On the other hand I've dropped my 3GS a billion times and nothing is broken on it.

 

I wish I could upgrade, are there really no early upgrades on the 2 year contract? I bought the 3GS refurbed earlier this year when they were going for $9.99 so I guess I have a while to wait..

my freind had the 4 since it came out he hated the thing he dropped is phone on the crapet from like a foot a way the screen craked. so after a few days the screen died finally and he bought an android and he loves it now he wouldnt go back to iphones.

Besides like someone said earlier all they are is a touch that you can call ppl on because they have apps you can text ppl from.

My 3GS has been durable. My buddy submerged his under water not on purpose of course and the phone still works..

Depends if you upgraded your plan or got your plan less than 2 years ago you'll have to wait. You might be eligible for early upgrade but I dont know how that works..

Thats a load of shit... Ive seen the phone take a lot more abuse...And I use my phone for weather (airplanes and cars), scheduling at both my jobs, charging credit cards, navigation in both airplane and car, airport information.. wait what calls and text???

You have proof on that? Apple mentioned a marketing cycle that their products follow but I doubt that they have life spans. Id like to see it!

ill find it. i remember reading an article saying that the ipod battery lifespan is 2 years. and not a more powerfull battery so you would buy more. ill find it. not sure if they changed this or not but it relates to ipods.

iPhone is just an ipod with texting and calling capabilities. It's not impressive at all imo. When you buy it, you're just buying the Apple name, it's a PoS and if you drop it more than an inch it shatters. Not to mention that Apple as a company is retarded as fuck and is suing their chip manufacturers because they announced a Galaxy Tab, which is much better than the iPad by far anyway.

 

I'd much rather have an android phone over an iphone any day.

iPhone with a contract costs the same as an ipod Touch, your argument is invalid. iPhone can record and take pictures, and runs faster than the ipod Touch now because of the new processor.

 

When you pay for an iPhone v.s. any Android phone, you're usually paying for more app compatibility, if that's not your thing, go ahead and get an android phone, but really you're kind of just talking out of your ass with your factoids because there are a ton of phones that crack when they drop, and how does suing another company make the quality of a product any worse?

 

Not to mention it has a better camera and the processor's a tad better than most android phones I think. (Not sure about the processor)

You realize that all lithium batteries have a life span usually around two years after that their charge starts decreasing until they become useless.. laptops, electric drills, rechargeable batteries.. all other phones out there ...
