What do you mean when u sayo 80 PLUS power supply? if i just buy a 600W power supply, wont it be good enough? whats the 80 plus

It basically means that it's a quality product, which is indeed something you'd be looking for when buying a PSU. Someone else might be able to give a better explanation of it.

Now I don't know much about PSU's myself, so these are just examples of 80+ and not:

Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M700 RS-700-AMBA-D3 700W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply This is an 80+ bronze certified(there's also silver and gold afaik)

Newegg.com - APEVIA ATX-AQ700W-BK 700W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply and this is not 80+ and is also some randy ass brand, afaik.

Not that tech savvy, but I hope it helped.

80 PLUS is an efficiency, an 80 Plus Bronze will do 80+ power efficiency guaranteed, 80 Plus Silver will do 80-85, Gold will do 85, and Platinum will do 90+, I believe, don't quote me on it.

Basically they just transfer power much more efficiently.

Also 600 is plenty for overhead.

Not particularly, plus Nvidia cards have CUDA and PhysX support.

I would go with the 670 FTW over a 7970 anyday.

Sorry, I meant 7970 GHz, which is at a similar price (when I bought mine a few months ago).

The Best Graphics Cards: Nvidia vs. AMD Current-Gen Comparison

Best high-end graphics card

7970 regular should still be *slightly* better than the 670 though.

CUDA = Stream processors, so that's not anything special

I don't think PhysX is really that great, considering it's only used in some games.

ok i think im gonna go with the gtx 670 with a 600W 80 plus power source. One last question, how big is the physical size of the card? gtx 670

Generally speaking (since not all cards are the same) they're usually 11 inches in length.

Link us to the powersupply you're getting. Also, CUDA is only useful if you want to do 3D Games Development (3D Modelling for example)
