TheMxPenguin Posted February 11, 2013 Content Count: 228 Joined: 08/25/10 Status: Offline Share Posted February 11, 2013 so im looking to get a 660ti because from what ive heard thats what i want for my price range . so i was looking at the MSI 660ti because it has 2 fans but the EVGA [allegedly] has some kind of fancy back plate that actually keeps it colder. if you guys could tell me what i should get and if i should go with AMD please tell me but im using a ati 4850 and that thing overheats so idk if i wonna stay with AMD. Another question if i do go AMD could i tether my ati 4850 to what ever new amd gpu i get? Link to comment

Edit: I wanted to add that I have been using EVGA for years and the one problem I had with a card (hydrocopper waterblock leaked) the RMA process was quick and easy. Link to comment

Danthrax Posted February 12, 2013 Content Count: 11 Joined: 05/13/11 Status: Offline Share Posted February 12, 2013 EVGA is the best company in the business. MSI is ok but often have runs of motherboards that don't work well. Some people swear by their graphics cards because of their air coolers and the Lightning series is very well received among overclockers. If you just want to game and not have the hassle of dealing with long RMA times or questionable support go with EVGA they have an active support forum that often gets responses from actual people that work at EVGA. I think they are also US based and you can get an extended warranty to up to 10 years I think. Link to comment
