I was searching around because I have never had this happen before and came across either a video card issue or an LCD issue. When I connected my laptop to my TV with and HDMI cord the blue line didn't show up so I am stuck with the idea that this is probably an LCD issue. When I run my mouse over the line the line shows up over the mouse along with everything else. The line is more of a cyan color and seems to turn red when it is over an area of whiteness. I was wondering if anyone has potentially had this issue before and has any suggestions before I potentially have to go out and pay a lot of money for a replacement screen. I may even just go out and buy a new laptop since this one is about 3 years old and no sense in paying a ton of money for a new screen on a laptop that I was considering to upgrade in another year or so. Luckily it is very small and just more annoying than anything. Link to comment

Our camera at work gets the same problem when the sun aims on it. Perhaps there's an uncovered light within from travel or such. Link to comment
