I probably can't beat 3/4 of the team...

Your math seems flawed

I like the look of team 4 also.... If this Canadian guy is who I think it is. All solid players strangely enough

If you do see, I edited it already to "teams" I mean't all the teams, not just team 1.

That's why you just keep it draft. There's no point in looking forward to a competition if you just get slotted in with random people and there's one group you know that's going to steamroll everyone. I'm pretty sure every single person besides the members on team 1 right now is laughing at the way the teams turned out.

I mean if you want to have a good tournament, you actually have to put time and effort into making a roster that isn't a complete clusterfuck by choosing captains of similar skill level, and having them pick. I mean you pretty much agree with me in the fact that you said "teams being easier to compete for second/third place prizes" lol. There's no legit competition where people go "Bro I hope I get second place since I already know who's getting first". It's not fun at all and the only outcome I see from this is people being discouraged from the actual 5v5 scrim when you guys steamroll everyone and they don't give a shit anymore afterwards.

But like I said, do as you will, the only point I was trying to make in the first place was the way you chose to roster the teams clearly isn't fair in any sense of the word as it was used to describe in the original post. You can't say cancer/disease is fair because it's not biased in its choice (genetics aside), and it's even more apparent in the fact that this is a team game.

Captains of equal skill were considered at first until the roster prevents that from ever being fair to everyone.

Fairness simply isn't an option given the roster. You want to give up just cause one team has more good players than the others fine, settle for last place. When I said the other teams have a shot at second and third, I meant that if our team having more good players than the rest really does steamroll, at least everyone else are still able to be in it to win something.

It's 3v3, I cannot stress that enough. By us having 4 good players, means one good player isn't playing in the tournament at any one point, essentially making it easier for all other teams to compete.

I can see your point, however the point that they are making I think is that you guys have basically already won against most of the other teams out there. Which would probably happen no matter what, so I'm personally not complaining, but they do have a valid point. I can only see maybe one or two other teams on the roaster even having a shot against you guys, and that's only if they get lucky.

Like my team. BoM is good, as you said, but I myself am a very "what day is it today? Oh, well then I'm going to do terribly" player. Sometimes I can carry my team, sometimes I get completely stomped. So unless I'm having a good day, that's 1v3 for good players. Most other teams dont even have that, however, so I can't see many of them doing very much.

3v3. Everyone needs to understand how that changes things.

It's not "What 3 players in another team are as good as those 4 in team one". It's "What 3 players on another team can kill just one of those in team one" if you think of it that way, there's tons of teams that can potentially beat us.

In a typical strategy on any map, your whole team is going for one bomb site. In a 3v3 game, the most they can spare is going to be one player at each bomb site. If you use flashbangs and smokes appropriately, a majority of the teams can take me 3v1. Then they have the site, and it's 3v2 where they have the advantage of being on site.

If this was a 5v5 tournament, I would entirely agree that Team One is over powered, but it's not. Play smart, don't just look at individual skill level and give up. Take advantage there will be only one player at a bomb site, practice using flashbangs and smokes to essentially guarantee you take the site or protect it until the others can rotate.

I do agree to an extent. I'm sure there are teams that will give you at least some challenge, but I'm still going to say team 1=first place.

Anyway, with that out of the way, when can we expect to have some type of ladder out?

Caution and I are working on a way to display this, the old tournament plugin we used for the 1v1 league is apparently being a pain in the dick as Caution explained it.
