Tried out someones autoexec config, How to git rid of it?

Hi,

 

So I tried out someones config for css, but in the end I don't like it and want to go back to the original way counter strike source looked. But deleting the autoexec isn't enough, it stil leaves behind settings such as: different scoreboard colors, crosshair settings, gamma/brightness settings... etc

 

Is there anyway to revert back??

Disable Steam Synchronization for Steam Cloud on CS:S. Delete config.cfg/autoexec.cfg or the cfg folder in general, restart steam. Re-enable Steam Synchronization.

 

Let me know if it works.

So I turned of steam sync for css, deleted my cfg folder, then restarted steam. The settings however, are still there after restart

Hmm.. Okay. Try putting ' -autoconfig ' into the launch options. Remove it afterwards.

 

If this doesn't work, the only thing I'd have left to say is to just delete your 'cstrike' folder.

i deleted my counter strike source folder, everything. redownloaded css, and the stuff is still there :/

Damn, those are some really persistent settings. I'm sorry to say but I can't offer that much more help. gl

Try and force change the settings back to normal. Make sure all instances of the autoexec is deleted.

I have fixed it... C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\labarr15\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg

 

 

open up config.cfg and delete everything inside and then save it and launch css.
