Hey Guys !

Got a little suggestion for this specific JB Server. Played for a while now and I think that we would all benefit from an extended round time. I used to play on a server before which now has 8:20 per round which is a good amount of time to play JB.

I think we should Extend the round time to somewhere around the 7-8 minute mark.

Leave your ideas in the comment box , all appreciated :p

All I read was :p. The round times are fine now. Besides, we have those one or two kids that are scared to do anything.

Well first off welcome to the forums! But to be honest I don't see the round time increasing. Because we don't have a large server the round time is really about perfect. Usually there is an LR going on right in the last minute. Personally I think the round time is perfect and making it longer would only make people complain especially increasing it by that much.

We rarely reach the time limit we have now, and when we do, it's usually because of slow Ts, camping CTs, or both. Sitting through 7-8 minutes of that would be absolute torture. I don't doubt that the 8:20 round time works out on the server you're talking about, but it would be too slow for this server, considering how aggressive Ts normally play and the fact that the server itself only has 24 slots.

Increasing the time wouldn't be such a good idea because there's always those 1 or 2 CT's/T's who are going to camp somewhere, and it would waste time for the people who are dead that actually want to play. Also our rotation is 30 minutes for each map, so that would leave 3-4 rounds for each map. I think 5 minutes is a good enough time for the prison break server we have right now.

Our PB server is kinda a one-of-a-kind with the rules and settings, and this would move it towards the others.

Basically this, pretty sure our server is a tad more rebel-friendly than the usual server where CTs are allowed to be complete nazis etc.

Not sure if anybody noticed, but about a month ago I actually decreased the round time by about 15 seconds, as I felt it was just a tad too long - those rounds that just kinda dragged on seemed to be just a hair too frequent, so I decreased it a bit.

That being said, having 7-8 minute rounds will kill the server. Thanks for the suggestion, but there is absolutely not a chance in hell that the round time would be extended past 5 minutes, let alone 7-8.
