What's your favorite releases of this year so far?

 

Projects/Albums you're excited for?

 

So far I've really enjoyed Ólafur Arnalds new LP, of course Atoms for Peace new album; Amok, new Flaming Lips as well as new The Knife.

 

Overgrown was a pretty good album as well, not as enjoyable as James Blake's self-titled, but eh, opinions.

 

Really disappointed with Indicud for some reason. Just not feeling it.

 

Bounty, Tomorrow's Harvest, Kveikur, Yeezus, Born Sinner, WMWSO were all great releases as well.

 

Pretty excited for new Freddie Gibbs, new Wu-Tang, new NIN, new Deltron 3030 (of course), and hopefully new Madvillian (probably won't happen but eh).

 

Of course Lipsha as well, Flaming Lips x Kesha will be too glorious.

Can't stop listening to Tiësto's "Club Life Volume 3 - Stockholm"! I was caught surprised of Empire of the Sun's "Ice On The Dune" release, I was hooked on Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" for quite a while. Anamanaguchi's "Endless Fantasy" was a good release. Thanks to the Dying Light trailer, I discovered Woodkid and his awesome "The Golden Age" album. Also Fall Out Boy's "Save Rock And Roll" was pretty good.

 

I'm always excited for Monstercat album releases, they don't stop working on them lol. I haven't been following many of my favorite artists projects/albums very much.

 

Indicud was a huge disappointment to me. "Just What I Am" and "King Wizard" made it sound promising, but when I started listening to the album, I wasn't amused.

 

To me, this year feels pretty good so far and I hope it only gets better.

Not even gonna lie, I really enjoyed Red.

Forgot to mention RAM, Discovery will still be my favorite Daft Punk release, but tracks like Touch and Fragments of Time are too good.

They never fail to impress.

 

Blue Stahli's Anti-Sleep Volume 3 was amazing as was Zardonic's Far Beyond the Bass. Eh, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. This thread has reminded me I need to work on updating my music library lol. I am heavily anticipating the new Year of No Light album as well as the new Les Friction stuff however. Oh and I also hope I might get to hear Aria Galactico before I die, but that's probably just wishful thinking ;/.
