Honestly, what the fuck is AFK Freeze?

 

Are they honestly ordering the T's to step away from their keyboard and just watch the game?

 

For one, what a bullshit rule. The main function of the game as a T is to be able to have the ability to knife the CT's. But under AFK Freeze orders, you can't even turn on your flashlight without being warning shot, let alone knifing the air?

 

I'm not sure when, but I remember a rule where CT's could not order T's to not to be able to use their knife. Has then changed?

 

I'm asking because I don't want to be called out when I tell someone it's not allowed, when it is.

 

Ordering the T's the freeze is one thing... meaning their feet have to stay in place, just like as if you were frozen via admin powers. But to take away all abilities that the T can use to rebel is just ridiculous in my opinion, regardless if the AFK Freeze is for 20 seconds or for 2 minutes.

 

If I am in the wrong here then I will recorrect myself and apologize to the people I talked about it with today.

Meh, i see it as an extremely lame rule but still valid as long as they let you move a little to avoid the afk manager.

I'm not really annoyed with it as long as it's used to gun checks and not for a long period of time. However if they do move a little bit with they're mouse and the cts shot them for it. That's just bs.

If it is for an extended period of time then it is as bad as keeping Ts trapped in their cells . I usually warn the CTs if it is more than 1 minute ( more than enough time to do a gun check ) . If you take a look at the server motd, it says " The CTs must give reasonable rules" - telling Ts to afk for several minutes without any other purpose other than annoying the shit out of them is not reasonable .

Some CT used that rule to wait someone to rebel while walking not so far from T, which makes them allow to kill whoever have guns at cells or kill some T before issue another order.

Afk freeze is a legit rule. Mostly in Razer when you have people who can open cells faster than you can get out of the armory. Even if it's for 30 Sec, some people are trying to kill the rebelling t's while making sure no other t can rebel.

Straight up, I don't even know who started this unreasonable rule lol. I honestly never give it. I just tell them to freeze. As long as their legs ain't moving, you got nothing to be worried about it. It just pisses me off when these newbies say "Freeze or AFK Freeze." In my opinion its the same thing. Making them "AFK Freeze" and not do anything such as flash their flash lights or move their cursors a bit is just plain retarded and an excuse for killing em. And this also causes a lot of the them to die by the afk manager. SO ehhh.

AFK freeze to gun check them = legit, as it would be a pain to do it sometimes if they're spinning around, and overall would create more time that they need to freeze. This shouldn't take longer than like 30 seconds, MAYBE - and that's for a slow CT team.

 

The rest of the time it's not really legit, especially considering the AFK plugin lol.
