CSS client shut down.

So I don't really know what is happening to my CSS but here is what happens. I play on a CSS server for an hour or so and my game will shut down completely without any messages saying what happened. If I try to join other servers after this it will do the same thing. Does anyone know what is going on?

Exact same thing happened to me for a while, I forgot how I solved it tho. I'll reply later today with an answer, if there is one...

Try to reinstall the game this problem happen to me but in css:go and as I reinstalled it and launched it the problem went away but I suggest do this solution last if sleggie has a better solution to your problem.

Try going into your library, right clicking CS:S > properties > local files tab and verifying the integrity.

Are you able to run any games after css crash? If not, it could be your GPU

Is your gpu or CPU overheating?

-This happens on all servers.

 

-My laptop runs other games fine after this happens.

 

-CSS doesn't make my laptop heat up nearly as much as League Of Legends but I do have a cooling system so I could play CSS for at least 7 hours. (Never have I played that long on CSS.)

do you mean when you try to join a server, your game freezes/crashes?

 

if so, turn your antivirus/firewall off
