Low Population

As many of you probably agree, PB was at its best here with SG between 2008 and 2009. I know a number of the maps from back then are still on the rotation but many are not. If good maps are what you want, why not try revisiting those? I am sure many were removed for good reason but still.

Ok last time I played I could only play for an hour not because people break rules but because the people ACT stupid to a point where the only way to fix that would be putting them down. I server is just a lot less fun than it use to be to be honest.

 

@dirk old maps wont last at all. People just get bored with them now because there not 50 places to go. Also the CTs have a lack of creativity with rules now so.

Its been a while since Ive played on the server, but I thought the motd was adjusted to account for retards. I saw that common sense was added a while back, and the line for rebelling and free shots seemed to be pretty clear. Im not sure what all this talk of retards is, but the server has always had people who act stupid so they can rebel, or freekill. The answer has always been to kill one and slay/ban the other. There is an motd and no mercy should be granted to those who cant read it or pretend to not understand it.

 

Ive not seen the motd since jen changed it a while back, so i dont know if its been changed.

In response to "all the retarded kids" posts here.....basically all I see is that there are a lot of dumb and/or new kids and only a few even semi experienced players (like 1+ year of playing). Older PB players just get tired of it, ik I am guilty of it as well. If the server isn't populated on a decent map, I don't really want to join it just to either A. Play T, get freekilled, kick + ban and then server dies, or B. Play CT, roll everyone, ban my freekilling team, and yeah.

 

Difference in map rotation is something that should be discussed, IMO. Again I'd really love to apply Crazy Swede's style to our servers. If the server only has 10 people on it, there are certain maps it really shouldn't be going to.

Hosties Special Olympics and Hosties boardwalk . I remember playing those on some server like 3/4 years ago and they were really fun.

 

One reason why i stopped playing JB was the continuous rebelling of the Ts making JB a "do what i tell you" gamemode to a deathmatch. Maybe add maps that don't have weapons that spawn in cells or hidden in some room so the Ts can't Surprise Bitch a CT with a usp, making them have to use teamwork or skill to take down a CT with a knife.

PB isn't struggling though lol...it's school. The population was very high this summer, and it continued to it's typical trend when school starts. Fixing things that aren't broken seems like a waste of time lol.

I agree with this. Overall PB isn't doing that bad. Yeah its not full all the time, but it's also not empty all the time either.

The population isn't bringing new people to the forums or community, Just a bunch of randoms who have no clue about SG as a whole. Seems to be on overall concern lately, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I just personally can't stand playing it anymore. After coming home from working all day and just dealing with the constant stupidity of these randoms makes me wanna punch them through my monitor. We use to have a blast back than just doing random shit and everyone enjoying themselves. Hopefully it improves but I know it will never be what it use to be

We need to get an event going for PB, so we can play it like it's supposed to be played. Doesn't need to be anything big, but and AO at least would be pretty nice.

Damn I miss PB from back when I started playing it.
