Lemmings19 Posted June 9, 2008 Content Count: 180 Joined: 03/26/08 Status: Offline Share Posted June 9, 2008 Source doesn't require too much to run. The engine's (and CS:S's) graphics are becoming dated (still looks good, especially with Half-Life Episode 1 & 2 graphics). When Half-Life 2 came out, a system that wasn't even all that great could run it fine (my Radeon 9600 Pro ran it at med-high settings fine). What I am saying is that you could easily upgrade to a system (or even just graphics card) that would run 60+fps with no problem, and with only a few dollars. Try looking online for used components. That is, so long as what is reducing your framerate so much isn't something like a virus or outdated drivers. Would you mind posting your system specs if you know them?
