looking for a solid performance gaming/media laptop. here's the catch: it cant be very expensive

 

lenovo y series look pretty sweet but they're getting to the point of being pricey

 

any ideas m8s? thank you in anticipation

You should add a price range, so it can be easier to find a laptop that suits you. Just fyi. :)

 

700s and under i suppose, preferably in the 600 or lower range

Why the fuck a laptop? you can build a decent desktop with just 350... i'm not to familar with laptops though but avoid the alienware series pls

 

desktops arent useful for college, are they?

 

 

back to the topic, ive had my eyes on the middle model for a while. the specs/battery life are pretty good and its on sale for tons. experiences with lenovo products, anyone? is there anything better for the price?

If you don't mind refurbished, I would defiantly recommend it! I got a i7 turbo to 2.97GHz, 4GB RAM, 640GB HDD and a GT330M touchscreen for £300, when the newer i5 models go for around the £500 mark.
