looking for a solid performance gaming/media laptop. here's the catch: it cant be very expensive

 

lenovo y series look pretty sweet but they're getting to the point of being pricey

back to the topic, ive had my eyes on the middle model for a while. the specs/battery life are pretty good and its on sale for tons. experiences with lenovo products, anyone? is there anything better for the price?

Go for other specs than battery life.. It's mostly irrelevant.

Middle one is great, wouldn't waste another moment and buy it tbh

Depends on what games you are to play on the laptop. But the i would go for the Y510p!

If you don't mind refurbished, I would defiantly recommend it! I got a i7 turbo to 2.97GHz, 4GB RAM, 640GB HDD and a GT330M touchscreen for £300, when the newer i5 models go for around the £500 mark.
