There is no polling system. It is just used to discuss the applications and no votes. The higher ups will end up either rejecting or accepting based upon feedback.

 

Personally I don't mind it. I know back when I was applying I kind of wanted to see what people thought and maybe what I could improve on. The only issue I see is people getting mad at one another for their comments but honestly I think that just comes down to maturity and understanding that people are saying it to be constructive instead of attacking the member.

 

Obviously I think the credibility of the member trying to just vouch for friends will be taken into consideration. I would think the higher the rank of the person applying the more credibility they would probably receive. Not that lower ranks won't have any but you catch my point.

As to this, I brought this up, and it was never discussed in great detail.

 

However, I will say that if you do not want people to know what you want to say, PMing a CE with your opinion and asking them to post it anonymously would probably be acceptable. This way the higher ups know what you said, but the applicant won't.
