Banana Joe Posted December 11, 2013 Content Count: 3056 Joined: 01/25/10 Status: Offline Share Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) Why not? if it annoys you speak up, most of the folks so far seem to think that dragging out pb rounds is a great idea, and a great opportunity to catch up on some reading. Hell even if you disagree with me, the whole point of this thread is to get people taking about it. I think there should be a slight adjustment to mic spamming ts (mainly that cts be allowed to shoot them after a warning to be silent while orders are given, i feel its one of those common sense things really) but that's a discussion for another time. I never implied that it would annoy me to speak up, I just couldn't bother at the current time since I was sitting in school. Besides, what I thought was pretty much the same as everyone else in this thread. But I think you're completely misinterpreting what people are saying. Being against a forced LR =/= thinking it's fun to drag out rounds. Like BoM also said, I actually like to have a few seconds to spend when I'm dead. This whole lr thing would be an issue if people were forced to just watch the last T jump up and down in solitary, but they're not. They can do whatever the hell they like. Also @Goku, that'd still be forcing the Ts to perform a last request. Edited December 11, 2013 by Banana Joe Link to comment
Goku Posted December 11, 2013 Content Count: 2589 Joined: 02/05/12 Status: Offline Share Posted December 11, 2013 Not really forcing lr. If they refuse I send them somewhere and at least make them do something other than sit there. If they just start walking off without responding to the question I warning shot, repeat the order to freeze, ask them for an lr again and if they don't respond and just walk off I kill them for not following orders. It's a pretty rude tactic, but perfectly legal and helps stop delaying. 1 Link to comment

Yeah, I saw what you mean now and it's perfectly fine. My bad. Link to comment

I stopped acting defensively when hawk stopped with the personal critiques. Thanks for the actual input bom. A stated opinion is alot better then just implying how you feel by saying my idea is bad. It did not really occur to me that people enjoy their down time, its still not a great reason to me, but at least its actual commentary on the issue at hand. While you guys chat or text each other, I tend to read or play a hand held. Only problem with that is, I dont like reading a good book then putting it down every 2 min to do something else. Same issue goes with the handheld games. And I HATE texting (I dont own a cellphone, that shit is the devil), and really i tend to keep to myself. Im not gonna bug a friend on my list just to eat up my spec time. Goku, as I said, your ideas(regarding how to treat the last t) are great, but they do nothing to help me when Im on the t side. Well, I mean, there really isn't anything you can do from the T side to stop a fellow T from delaying. Alive or dead, you can't do anything within the rules (meaning you could also plant or something but that is against the rules). Unless you want to not rebel or something. Nothing can be/will be done in terms of adding a rule about being able to kill the last T for not taking an LR. It flat out says in the rules that you can not force a death game, and LRs are death game. Forcing them to do a death game or die, is itself a death game. If they refuse, they die. If they play and they lose, they die. To add a rule saying the CTs can kill the last T to avoid delaying would directly contradict that rule as well as no free killing. Only thing you can do awesomebill, is just, and I mean no offense when I say this, deal with it. Its either that or go CT. Link to comment

That being said, its not a contradiction but an exception to the rule. As far as being unable to do anything other then "deal with it", I can also complain about it on the forums, like Im doing now. I dealt with it a long time, and will most likely continue to, but it seemed like it was time to discuss it rather then just dealing with it. XeNo Posted December 12, 2013 Content Count: 6466 Joined: 07/22/08 Status: Offline Share Posted December 12, 2013 I would have to say by majority the answer is that it won't be made a rule at this time. Link to comment
bob the pirate Posted December 13, 2013 Content Count: 410 Joined: 06/03/12 Status: Offline Share Posted December 13, 2013 Yeah... you shouldn't have to force a T to LR.. if he IS the last T, the round has to be close to over. Nothing's wrong with waiting. Should think about that before dieing and maybe try hard. Link to comment
Vy Posted December 13, 2013 Content Count: 1385 Joined: 05/22/11 Status: Offline Share Posted December 13, 2013 and for the enjoyment of the playerbaseA lot of people quit because Jailbreak turned into a boring server. Mainly due to stuff like this. When I played a few months back. The last T would get off with 1-2 minutes of the round, because of a fail rebel or w/e. It's annoying to say the least. Especially when you see the guy that ratted everyone out jumping around for a minute or two. Link to comment
Chaos Posted December 13, 2013 Content Count: 985 Joined: 04/22/09 Status: Offline Share Posted December 13, 2013 I didn't read half the posts in this thread because I'm sure it's been derailed all to hell. If you have a problem with the LR system, then why not make an appropriate thread about it with suggestions on how to make it better right there in your first post. Saying how badly the server sucks now, and pulling out the "back in 08" bullshit has never, and will never help yours or anyone's case. You might as well ask them to take a big shit on your thread as soon as you ask for opinions, especially with a post starting like this one has. ANYHOW- Why not add the Last Request Mod? I'm sure it could be tweaked to kill the Prisoner after he completes his LR- giving no incentive to get the LR in the first place. Link to comment
