Requesting some help from the SG community

• Dedicated server with 15 unique IPs.
  
• Web host x 2
  
• Tcadmin
  
• Vent
  
• Miscellaneous items such as sponsors, advertising, projects, raffles
  
• Twitch/Justin.tv stream (which isn't really used so meh)
  
• Minecraft when it's been necessary
  

 

 

 

I didn't even know we had a twitch/justin.tv...Well I think I've heard something in the past about the twitch, but never the justin.tv IMO I'd just let the subscription to those die down unless there are plans to do something big with them.

I think there's a lot of potential with streams honestly, as long as it's planned well enough and done right. Think about it - streaming is very popular, especially with battle arena games (like sc2, dota, lol, etc) and if we can think of a good way to use it, it would be immensely useful for the community. Also, our community's name by itself gives a lot of opportunity - Steam Gamers is a valuable brand/name since it tends to sound very reputable in the eyes of potential community members.

Looks like this is working for now as the amount barrier has been broken well with everyone chipping in.

 

Might be of help or not, I have servers myself that can handle the web hosts for no charge if needed. Not shitty little shared stuff, proper servers due to work of the cms / saas builders stuff here. Which next leads to help in cms / coding improvements, etc can also sort out. Ip's should only be around $1 each but i think the servers currently used is also used by some other communities as works well enough so far (compared to some past ones..) but if needed again, I have access to at least 31 different linux servers of various specs. Anyway if any of this is helpful, just pm me as i'll do what i can for the community here.
