I have the ASUS Orion (not the pro) and have had them for about a year now. They are a great 3.5mm headset. The mic works good and retracts into the headphones when you don't want to use it, IMO they look better than the siberia v2 and definatly the g35. I also like the cord because it is braided in a cloth like material, which gives it extra protection without losing its flexibilty. And for sound, as far as headsets go, I love them and they sound better than any other headset I have owned/used.

I was lucky and got a pair of TBX12s from GameStop for $30 brand new. They work pretty good, USB, 0 batteries, 20ft long wire so it's not gonna fly off your head if you stand up. Plus I can use it on my 360 or my Xbox One too.

razer kraken pro, why? because it's green

I better like blue...

Honestly though I should probably buy razer kraken 7.1 instead of pro since it is a upgraded version. I have taken a look at the reviews for it and the mic seems to be amazing + I can get the headset for a fairly low price.

I can personally only recommend the Steelseries Siberia v2 headset(s). Currently using the Frost Blue Edition and I had the normal black version before. Can perfectly use it to hear where people are and the mic is pretty decent from what I've been told, just don't put it directly in front of your mouth lol.

Idk how much better the Siberia Elite is, haven't tried it so far.

Steelseries siberia v2 is the headset I am using right now, but it breaks way to easily. It have broken 4 times on me in a fairly short timeframe.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I have yet to make up my mind completely so I will still appreciate suggestions. I prefer using a headset instead of a desk mic though.

I would recommend just buying good headphones, a mic that snaps onto the cord of your headphone (like zalman or the antlion), and a good 7.1 sound card.

Currently using the SteelSeries Siberia V2 with an ASUS Xonar sound card and it sounds pretty good.

Though, if I had the money, I'd buy one of the Sennheiser HDs and an antlion mic.

Sorry for the shittily put together post, I'm on my phone atm

How in the world have you managed to break 4 headsets(or do you mean broken one headset in 4 different ways??) in a short time?? Had my old Siberia v2 for at least 1½ year and it still works perfectly(upgraded since I wanted fancy lights + the mic is slightly better, was a good deal I caught).

Only other headset I've really tried is the G35(besides some Razer ones, but I can't really recommend them) and it was OK IMO, didn't use it for long though.
