What exactly is deathrun?

I try and join it every now and then, but the server seems to be down.

I've never been on it, but everyone raves about it?

Is it similar to escape? Or something completely different?

Deathrun is nice with mates but it gets boring after the map is played over and over...until there is more maps I won't play it much. My favourite has to be surf its a nice skill based but fun sort of mod and with Paul holding a shotty you have to train hard to survive!
