The only thing I do like about the S5:

IR Sensor

Water resistance down to I think like 3 feet

nice camera

I don't know much about the HTC but it seems nice. Still getting the i6.

It'll be interesting what Apple comes up with. The iPhone 6 is being called the most anticipated apple product yet. They're gonna have to come up with something big because they have kinda slacked the last couple years and have taken a lot of criticism. I'm excited to see what they come up with even though I'm more of an android fan.

Well for starters, iOS 8 is supposed to be improved on more for health fanatics - especially since iWatch is coming out. Supposedly iWatch is going to have a UV Light sensor, curved display, heart rate/blood pressure sensor, pedometer etc.

It's going to have a new root app called "Health Book" or something along the lines of that that helps you manage your health, i.e diet, physical activity, heart and blood functions etc. I'll most likely be getting iWatch to hopefully to see what that's like. (Rumor has it it'll resemble the newest gen iPod Nano + Nike Fuel Band.)

As for i6, I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that it'll have Sapphire Crystal for a display. (This means it will be ALMOST unscratchable but NOT uncrackable, but very crack resistant.)

Another rumor about the display is Apple is trying to integrate solar cells into it to finally achieve 'Wireless Charging.' (But I doubt that'll happen, as they just acquired the sapphire crystal displays this year, I think they still need a little bit of time to toy around with it.)

(This is all speculation, no confirmations yet) They'll probably be upgrading to the A8 chip, 10MP camera (f/1.8 aperture lens for you photographers), possibly a more durable/longer lasting TouchID sensor and liquid metal shell (hopefully absolutely no glass, only first few gen iPhones have all metal backs.)

I'm pretty excited to see what they come up with, hopefully it's promising. What's got my hopes is the possible June - September(ish) release instead of the constant fall releases.

When WWDC14 rolls around I'll probably post a thread and update it as the conference continues.

(WWDC14 is the World Wide Developers Conference where (fingers crossed) they'll hopefully and most likely unveil iOS 8 in it's alpha - beta stages.)

Sorry for the super long post ._. it's 12:40 and I'm working on my 4 page research paper.

HTC one (M8) or galaxy s5 is what I'm thinking about getting in a month or two.

Me too, but i find the Galaxy's ip67 certification to be more important than a damn metal phone. I understand that the HTC has a more premium build, and i've seen the HTC last for a long time submerged. But i've had a HTC once and it sucked!

Which one do you like the best?

So, what phone did you end up with?

I've been thinking about getting a new phone for a couple months now and cant seem to decide!

UPDATE: Just got the HTC One M8 over the Galaxy S5. Here are my reasons:

1)Sick of the plastic feel of the Galaxy (after owning the s3 for 2 years)

2)Sick of Touchwiz

3)I do watch alot of videos on my phone so the speakers on the HTC One m8 are great.

4)The HTC One m8 still uses micro usb. The Galaxy s5 uses USB 3.0, which means I would of had to buy new chargers and such. I had no idea u could use 2.0 with 3.0 derp

5)Came with HTC Advantage which:

Free one-time cracked screen replacement within first 6months of ownership

50GB online storage

Android software update commitment

I personally am 100% satisfied with this phone. The only thing that really took time getting used to was the fact that there is no PHYSICAL Home button, but I got over that :p

I know you were talking about camera quality as something you were looking at, but in my eyes the htc one m8 look just as good as the galaxy s5 :p

When did you have an HTC? Because they've improved a lot over the last few years.

Well, 5 years ago XD had a HTC tattoo, and im well aware that i can't compare today's phones with what was back then. But that particular model was shit! And im sure the OS have been drastically improved since then.

If anyone here have had both Galaxy s5 and iPhone i'd love to hear which on you prefers!
