Tim1 Posted April 22, 2014 Content Count: 5 Joined: 04/10/14 Status: Offline Share Posted April 22, 2014 Hey there, As a gamer, developer, and writer, I have a question that I wanted to ask after I just found myself frustrated with yet another website that wanted to do everything possible to force me to use Facebook. For those of you that have a Facebook account, how do you deal with those websites that seemingly want to ‘force you’ to log in through Facebook. Now I think that this is has to do with advertising revenue blah blah, but does that ever convince you to look elsewhere? As in, do you ever find that the forced integration just makes you want to leave a website rather than comply with their excessive demands? I guess the question I have (or just wanted to see if my opinion was in line with what everyone else thought)…at what point do you just say ‘not worth it’? For example, just the other day I came across a website that refused to show me the news story that I clicked on if I did not log in through Facebook. Even if I had wanted to log in through Facebook (which I do not) I certainly would not have done so if you try to coerce me. Any thoughts? _____________________________________ Anyone heard of http://FlappyGamer.com ? Link to comment

Some of you may know me as John Johnson, a successful entrepreneur from the great state of Washington. I sell charcoal and charcoal accessories. Edited April 22, 2014 by SilentGuns Link to comment

Also, as silent said, fake facebook account is always in order if the site asks for facebook login Link to comment

Think I have 3 fake accounts though, just can't remember what they're called, made them for Spotify as they could extend the 6 months free unlimited music(with ads, but still better than 10 hours a week). Also if it's a news article hitting F12(on chrome at least) to open the Elements thingy can sometimes remove the facebook pop-up if you can find the code or if it's possible to hit the search icon and press on the facebook log-in thing. Found it to be quite useful at times. Link to comment
