Now, I was thinking, maybe we can have an event in either TTT, or BuildRP for SG members only where we all team up in either a good map for it in TTT (Don't really know the maps), or some admin/user created structures in BuildRP. Then an admin can spawn in waves of enemy NPCs for the players to deal with. This would probably be the most fun if the enemies could be spawned in strategic locations and maybe we can even set certain goals for the players, such as retrieving a certain item, or defending a place for so long, or assasinating a certain well guarded NPC. Perhaps we could even go as far as assigning Classes to players, and depending on the players' class they get a certain set of gear. Link to comment
Gator Posted August 21, 2014 Content Count: 2669 Joined: 03/29/09 Status: Offline Share Posted August 21, 2014 Sounds like it would be easier to just use a gamemode for it rather than complete custom work. IIRC there are quite a few out there, some also offer environmental risks, along with the enemy risk. Overall, if a gamemode was found and an admin was willing to do the work to run it, it would be pretty fun. Link to comment

I was looking for that thread xd Anyway, this idea isn't necessarily just for buildrp. Maybe we could get a temporary gamemode on a server, for the event Edited August 21, 2014 by Elemental Link to comment
Dev0 Posted August 22, 2014 Content Count: 32 Joined: 02/10/12 Status: Offline Share Posted August 22, 2014 On the old ttt server i used to own you could spawn in like every hl2 npc so I would call votes for zombie survival etc. It'd be cool to do on sg. Link to comment

I honestly don't see this happening also it may confuse new comers to the server. But it sounds like fun. I wouldn't mind something like this. (Please do Fast Zombie Invasion ) Link to comment

Last time i talked to him about it, he was planning on figuring out how to change the flags on NPC's so he could edit individual stats, such as damage, health, etc. The only problem with trying to defeat the Strider is that only one weapon can be used to destroy it, and that's the HL2 RPG. We saw firsthand that not even nukes can defeat it. Overall, this would be very fun to do. I think the last time it was discussed was late June - early July. It's on hold currently while I focus on community-related changes right now which are up and coming very soon. Once I finish with my work on the community side I will re-visit that idea and get something in the works. 1 Link to comment
