Im using an old monitor that would work fine with this, so that'll knock off $100+ dollars Link to comment

WriteX Posted September 8, 2014 Content Count: 535 Joined: 03/29/11 Status: Offline Share Posted September 8, 2014 I know you said "most games", but do you mean medium-end games like CS:GO or high-end crap like Arma 3? --because that GPU won't live up to your expectations in most high-end games unless you turn down the settings a whole lot. Please go for a different PSU unless you want it to bottleneck once you decide to upgrade your parts... Preferebly a Corsair one above 500W. Also, if I were on a budget, I sure as shit wouldn't care to get a legit copy of Windows. I wouldn't mind being a lil' pirate. Link to comment

You are correct the OEM heat sinks normally include some sort of thermal compound but it is usually poor and in this case he has bought his own CPU heat sink. As WriteX just said you will probably want a more powerful PSU. Also if all you want is gaming performance you would be best served putting more money into your GPU and less into the CPU. That being said you haven't really gone too overkill with the CPU at this point but your GPU is a bit lacking. Also, if you are currently attending a university you will most likely be able to get Windows for free through them. Microsoft gives out windows for free to students. I believe it is called dreamspark. Link to comment
