Still have an S3. It isn't bad but keeps randomly turning off on me like twice a day and lags when I text.

The lag, my headphone jack keeps turning on Google voice search when I plug in my headphones or the jack turns inside, suddenly 3G turns off and I have to turn on then turn off airplane mode to get the signal back... I've come to absolutely loathe the S3, though it did have a good lifespan of nearly two years. Thank god I get an upgrade at the beginning of next month!

Are you sure you're closing everything? Mine can get up to 1.3 but when it gets that high, I just clear the ram and it drops down to 800mb. If anything, I'd suggest a restoring to factory settings.
