I have found some that I want but i'm not that great/smart when it comes to them, so i'm wondering if these new parts are gonna first of all be able to run on the existing parts and if they are compatible. The first thing im looking for is a new GPU and I found this one: Sapphire R9 270X 4GB 1020MHz GDDR 5 PCI Express Graphics Card (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-270X-1020MHz-Express-Graphics/dp/B00FOR0086/ref=sr_1_12?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417034421&sr=1-12&keywords=amd+radeon) However I knew that this card would struggle to run on my existing PSU so im looking at a: Corsair Builder Series CXM 600W Modular 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX/EPS PSU (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Builder-Series-Modular-Certified/dp/B00ALYOTTI/ref=pd_bxgy_computers_text_y) And to fit all this in im gonna buy a new case: Zalman Z11 Midi Tower Case (ATX, M-ATX, Supports Bottom PSU Installation, Dust Filters for Front and Bottom of System and PSU) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zalman-Z11-Supports-Installation-Filters/dp/B007BZS0GI/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417248366&sr=1-2&keywords=Zalman+Z11) But the main part of this is will all of this work with my current components want are: CPU: AMD A8-5500 -TDP: 65W -Operating speed: 3.2 GHz (up to 3.7 GHz turbo) -Number of cores: 4 -Socket: FM2 Motherboard: MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) -Manufacturer: MSI -Form factor: uATX - 24.4 cm (9.6 inches) x 24.4 cm (9.6 inches) -Chipset: AMD A75 FCH -Memory sockets: 2 x DDR3 -Front side bus speeds: UMI 5 GT/s -Processor socket: FM2 -Expansion Slots: -1 PCI Express x16 (Gen 2.0) -3 PCI Express x1 (Gen 2.0) -1 PCI Express Mini Card (Gen 2.0) Memory: 8GB Hard drive: 2TB ...more at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03528348 Link to comment

So, yes, the products you picked should be fine. Just be sure to uninstall the video card driver before installing the new card. Link to comment

Is the psu necessary or will the one that comes with the pc do? Are you looking at his current build, or the parts he's replacing? When you say "the one that comes with the pc" I assume you bought the machine stock, and didn't build it yourself, in which case yes the PSU will do. If you start upgrading components you'll have to start considering how much power they draw and if you need to upgrade. Link to comment
