I guess the reason there are so many WWII games is because its the last time Americans did some good in a war, there was a clear bad guy that we eventually beat and that was that. I dont believe thats happend for us since then.

CoD4 was great because of it's modern combat SAS/USMC theme WWII games WERE gd because of the Medal Of Honour games but now they just suck. WHY CAN'T GAME MAKERS REALISE THAT!!!

Uhh.... actually.... until 1943 most Japanese weapons (especially their airplanes and submarnies were much more effective than our own, the only thing they had a problem with was their commanders going "BUM RUSH!" and sending entire companies head on into killzones.

 

Also German submarines were sending weapon and aircraft plans to Japan, and were pretty damn close at developing planes that could of fought head to head with the Hellcats, but unfortunately they couldn't run on bamboo oil.
