Like $800 or something I guess .net is also an option but that just feels wrong Though damn, zombiemurder would open up so many cool illustration options. It's much better when it's run by people who actually give a fuck about SG as a community. Glad to see that is the case again! 2 Link to comment

It wouldn't necessarily be steamgamers though, would it? The community would be "steamgame", the .rs is simply a domain extension because steamgame felt it necessary to branch outside of American laws and censorship to a location that has little to no internet laws Once again I have no idea how all of this would fall under copyright, but "steamgame" sounds more modest than "steam-gamers" personally, but in the end it's up the law to decide that, not my personal opinion Link to comment

Goku Posted July 17, 2015 Content Count: 2589 Joined: 02/05/12 Status: Offline Share Posted July 17, 2015 Kinda frustrating thinking that someone with no direct connection to a community of games has the audacity to demand a lot of money over a URL. I understand him not being active for any reasons such as work or personal but Jesus dude. It's a domain name for a group of people you aren't a part of. What a piece of shit. I applaud the board for not bowing down to his bullshit. While I will miss being able to just type in the old domain, at the end of the days it's just a url. It seems very little is actually changing. We're still the same community and the same people. Look forward to the new era and glad to be here when it happens. 2 Link to comment

Zaraki Posted July 17, 2015 Content Count: 4960 Joined: 10/28/09 Status: Offline Share Posted July 17, 2015 This is actually a moment to hold a forum/server-wide poll. Maybe it's not a bad idea to change names altogether :/ Give the people the chance to give suggestions for about 2 weeks and then do the same system as the "favorite admin" election. Small groups, let them vote every day, keep people involved. The moment you have the name, let people pick the general branding etc SteamGame.rs sounds the easiest way to go at the moment :/ Link to comment
