Dr Pepper Posted July 31, 2015 Content Count: 356 Joined: 05/29/12 Status: Offline Share Posted July 31, 2015 I've upgraded to windows 10 from 7 and I'm actually suprised. It does look cool, is faster than 7 and gives a fresh experience as a windows 7 user. Imo worth upgrading. lots of people are saying so, ill probably upgrade after i move. #windows7masterrace Link to comment

The free upgrade keys are tied to your hardware, so if you just upgrade to win10 it automatically ties the key to your PC. If you do a clean install first, it wipes everything and will ask you for your PCs product key. Link to comment

When I paid my friend $200 for this computer (I had to buy a hard drive myself) he went ahead and installed an extra copy of windows 7 32 bit he had laying around. So it wasn't a "genuine" or registered copy or w/e so I just went ahead and bought the upgrade to 8.1 so I could get the windows 10 update (I see now that for the same price I paid I could have just upgraded straight to 10 but whatever). So I'm still stuck on 32 windows and will be when I upgrade to 10 but I'm gonna do a clean install after to get up to 64 bit. Currently in the process of saving as much stuff on my computer as I can so when I do the clean install I still have my files. I am now running 64 bit windows 10 and so far I'm liking it. I'm really just glad to finally be on 64 bit. Edited August 3, 2015 by Goku Link to comment
Vy Posted August 3, 2015 Content Count: 1385 Joined: 05/22/11 Status: Offline Share Posted August 3, 2015 Well, I upgraded from Win 7 32bit to Win 10 32 bit, then I did a clean install using a usb and I now have Win 10 64 bit. So far no real issues asides that there's some app that is leaking memory. Definitely worth the upgrade, though it is annoying to redownload everything. Link to comment
