Can a ct give order : Any T to disrespect anyone will be warning shot and then killed ? I am asking because Ryoku said Yes and then Pyro said no ..

 

You asked this yesterday and myself and Pyro both told you no.

 

Boils down to this:

 

Player disrespect is a bit of an admin's discretion on when and how it should be punished. There's a reason why it's our least enforced rule. We like to have fun in the community and pick at each other, but eventually a line has to be drawn. That line is drawn by the admins. That's why we have them. Admins are members of the community that have gained the trust and respect from other members and can be trusted to handle situations such as player disrespect. Something you might consider disrespectful, others might not. Ultimately, as I said, its the admin's decision.

 

By you trying to give that order, you are acting like an admin. It is not at all within reason. I might tell Ahoy or harpo to go fuck themselves, and they won't take offense to it, but you do and shoot me. That is not your call to make. That's why I usually don't punish people for harassing bubblez by calling him a monkey, or stupid or all the other insults we give him. He doesn't take offense to it and usually plays along and shit talks right back. However, I have had to step in and stop someone (you to be exact) from harassing him as he did tell me it was annoying him.

 

 

Well I kinda see it as yes and no. Disrespect can be something like racism but if it's like "you suck pp" but it isn't meant to harm someone then I guess it's a bad order?

Edit: I mean like it's a reasonable order if the person is being racist but like if it's disrespect as minor jokes then the order is dumb.

 

And I would have to disagree with you. I tell players all the time, breaking the rules to stop others from breaking them isn't justified. Two wrongs don't make a right. Same reason why I tell people on TTT or PB, do not freekill or gunplant to stop another freekiller/rdm'er. Hell, Bork even got banned before for RDM'ing a RDM'er. Same applies here, if a person is being racist, demo and report them or get an admin. CTs shouldn't be giving orders to basically make them admins (like saying disrespect is a warning shot then kill).

 

 

 

This last comment might get edited out or something but I'm gonna say it anyway. Bremu, ever since I banned you for 3 days for the comments you've made against Ahoy, you've been trying so hard to get other players in trouble for disrespect to cause a scene. We had been getting onto you for at least a week before I banned you, and you know damn well why you were banned by me. Just because you got in trouble for it, doesn't mean you have to make it your personal agenda to punish everyone else. Really getting tired of anytime I see you on, you are trying to stir up some trouble about player disrespect. It is not your place to judge if something is punishable if it is not directed at you. You are not an admin, and you do not know what someone else might be okay with. Let the admins do their job. We have admins and player complaints for a reason, use them to your advantage.

 

 

 

 

Edit: TL;dr for @R3TROATTACK --No, you can not give this order and stop trying to get everyone else in trouble for disrespect because you got in trouble.

Basically what's been said already, disrespecting in general a thing that should be handled by admins and admins alone. Having players trying to enforce server rules in general is a bad idea, as it tends to get out of hand quite quickly. The only rule I'd say it can get OK for players to start handling it is when there's a freekiller and there's no admins on, since from what I've seen people actually aren't that stupid when it happens, but it still gets a littly iffy at times.

 

TL;DR of this thread: Don't try to enforce server rules yourself.
