I think they've become replacements for a social life. My laptop's got NES and SNES games on it and so does my DS, though either I have a bad emulator or SNES on DS just doesn't work 100%. Still, old school games for the win. Link to comment

Sierra Online Each place on the map was a area that had games to play and lobbys of people to talk to. It was awesome. But then later got shut down. From doom it was all uphill with games Like doom][ and Dukenukem3d and FPS game galore. Link to comment

Спецназ Posted July 17, 2008 Content Count: 57 Joined: 04/16/08 Status: Offline Share Posted July 17, 2008 Well, my family never had the money for me to have games of my own until I was around five or six. My first real gaming experiences were at a friend's house playing the first Metroid on the NES. After I got a PC I played Wolf3d, Doom, Duke Nukem, Duke it out in DC (awesome game, I'm with you Modgers), Full Throttle, and Mech Warrior + Mech Warrior 2. Link to comment
