[Applied] Return of CS:GO Scrim Server?

Title says it all.

 

I really liked the server last time, and as long as it's not taking too much space up on the dedi, I don't see the reason in removing it really. It can be a home for many events/tournaments, you can put non-active duty maps that are still good like de_season (@bethy), and it allows for people to play competitive CS:GO without having to pay for ESEA or deal with MM bullshit.

 

With this, I'd like to also bring back Scrim Star if possible. It seemed really useful back in the Source scrim days. I remember constantly being asked to go into scrim to start it up since the players within the server were unable to do so without admin. Scrim Star would be a way of relieving admins of one of their duties.

Last time we had CSGO scrim we didn't need scrim star, we had some other automated system in place.

While I do like the idea and have ALWAYS had fun in SG scrims, we will need to talk about it. We are in the process of opening a few servers and opening too many at once isn't usually beneficial.

Okay but seriously I don't mind this. I remember when we did private scrims and announced them which got the server full. People had fun afaik

Bringing scrim server back would be awesome. The CSS scrim server was used pretty frequently if I'm remembering correctly. Also 128 without using esea/cevo would be cool.

I'm up for it. One of my favorite hobbies is getting my ass kicked with 130 ping and secretly crying about it later when going to sleep.

I miss scrim, but last time we had a CSGO scrim server, it was dead in the water. As long as we have some people starting scrims, it shouldnt be too bad, but unless we do, it's just gonna be a repeat of last time
