Just not used for gaming, I use TV as second monitor for Chrome, Youtube and other programs. You might also have problem reading text on it. Link to comment

Ill just keep it for netflix if anything, Thanks guys. EDIT: I'm currently using a TV screen as a monitor. Granted I'm not a huge graphicphobe meaning I am so used to a shitty pc. I finally have a nice PC, but I have been able to play CSGO and RL with no problems. I had to edit the actual tv settings to stretch the screen so it fit entirely, but I have no problem reading the text or anything. Just depends how big of a stickler you are for things. I'll probably eventually get an actual computer monitor, but it isn't a high priority for me. im not picky, but if it affects frame rates and stuff, then it matters, haha im using a old monitor and im surprised it still works tbh. lol maybe HP isnt so bad at making computer screens i guess. TVs generally aren't setup for staring at close range all day, monitors are. Plus, you are likely to have extremely high dot pitch compared to a monitor so you may well have something of a screen door effect when looking at it close up. Link to comment
Octa Posted October 19, 2015 Content Count: 2103 Joined: 05/25/09 Status: Offline Share Posted October 19, 2015 I've been using an HDTV for a screen for a little over a year. Basically, the details wont be as fine as they would be on a monitor, but as long as that doesn't bother you, it's not a big issue. Link to comment

Ryoku Posted October 19, 2015 Content Count: 374 Joined: 07/20/13 Status: Offline Share Posted October 19, 2015 I have been using a HDTV as a screen for over 3 years now and have no issue with performance, though there are pauses between tabbing in and out of games and my desktop due to the resolution changes. But other than that there are no issues. I recommend a program called Flux to solve your issue with staring a screen to long, it reduces the brightness and adds a "warm" color scheme to your screen to reduce stress. https://justgetflux.com/ 1 Link to comment
fantastic Posted October 23, 2015 Content Count: 2342 Joined: 08/31/15 Status: Offline Share Posted October 23, 2015 If you're going to become competitive in CS:GO using a TV screen isn't the best idea... too much information to process at once. Keeping it on a smaller (computer) screen would be better. Link to comment
