Metal Posted November 10, 2015 Content Count: 11727 Joined: 09/17/08 Status: Offline Share Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) So I was thinking that promotions are a very important part of growing as a community. I was thinking sticking to YouTube and Twitch I think it would be really simple and stress free to do this and here are a few ideas I think could work. For a YT channel we allow our community to send in a form (Like admin apps/Map requests) We approve of said videos and upload them to the S-G Youtube channel. Of course these videos must be about our servers or S-G members (For example L4D2/GTA etc) We could also have incentive for people to send in videos, If their video is approved we award them with 200-500 Store Credit points. For Twitch, It's pretty forward, we have those active in the S-G community, mainly Forum/TS members to stream content from in the servers. I personally think this can be a 2-4 man job to do. What do you guys think? 5 Edited November 10, 2015 by Metal Link to comment
Nuclear Onion Posted November 10, 2015 Content Count: 3462 Joined: 04/07/13 Status: Offline Share Posted November 10, 2015 We already do that exact thing for our YouTube channel now, except for the credits part. If you guys wanna stream on servers, then by all means sure. I don't believe we would push for anything as of right now since we've had a streamers tab before and it wasn't active at all. Any chance of getting a 2 man team or something to kinda kickstart it again? Link to comment

Seems cool to upload for Steam Gamers, since I do record my sessions. Wouldn't be a problem for me to upload on my own SG channel. Hmu with some info metal, ill think about it. Link to comment

Vick Posted November 10, 2015 Content Count: 2954 Joined: 08/25/12 Status: Offline Share Posted November 10, 2015 As far as YouTube goes, we tried it out in the past, didn't really take off because only a few people requested videos, didn't get a lot of people. We still have (for the most part) everything in place, people just needs to request videos! To request a video click here. Be sure to read the guidelines/rules if you ever do plan on requesting a video and if you need any help or guidance, check out the YouTube sub-section, as there are useful information in there, or PM any higher ups Link to comment

Is this something worth trying to kick start again? Even If its just me re-amping it, I'm sure I can get a lot of people to submit. (If they have Shadow play its a click of a button) Link to comment
Caution Posted November 10, 2015 Content Count: 11501 Joined: 10/19/08 Status: Offline Share Posted November 10, 2015 We kind of stopped expecting anything to come from Youtube. If you want to do videos, by all means go for it, but we're not really going to push for it at this point in time. Link to comment
