Whilst UFC is a sport and wrestling as a whole is a sport. WWE is not a sport. It's simply a form of entertainment, sports can't be staged. If they are staged then that is match fixing and against a rules. Simply entertainment.

He's smarter than @Stunningjam

I agree with him, it's simply a form of entertainment, the competitive spirit in WWE is only used to interest a group or audience. We could say performing a play with some fighting scenes is a sport then, or actors in action movies are active athletes because they performed the physical actions in that movie.

Like I said baby, off the examples I provided, I got more. Lets talk about injuries. Injuries happen, it changes the outcome of the match. This one divas match, one diva got KO'd in the ring. She was supposed to win. Because of her injury, it changed the outcome of the match. The other diva won. Injuries happen in SPORTS. Or how about Daniel Bryan? Daniel Bryan won the intercontinental championship. A couple of weeks later, due to a concussion, he had to give up the title, changing WWE's plans for him, changing match outcomes. ;)

Nothing you have listed is competitive. Injuries happen in real life too. Lets say John and Jason work together at an electronics store. Due to his work ethics and people liking him, he gets promoted to manager over Jason. Later that day John gets hit by a car and is left paralyzed in the hospital and won't be able to walk or talk again. Jason now gets the manager position instead. Injuries happen, it doesn't make it competitive because of it.

I said it last night, I'll say it again. Saturday night the Cowboys and Jets play. When they step onto the field, nothing is determined. Either team could win. Whichever one plays better, will win. You can not say the same for WWE. When, for example, John Cena and Seth Rollins step into the ring, the winner is already determined. Lets assume in this example Cena will win. Even if Cena is having an off day, and Rollins performs his moves better, it won't change the outcome of who wins. Cena could miss a few moves, or mess up on selling some of the hits, but he will still end up winning.

Like I said, to put it blunt. WWE is glorified ballet.

Yus dood. I sed outcomes are scripted buuuuut there is competition backstage. There is only 1 wwe champion, so WWE has to find a new john cena. If the roster is all lazy, they can't have anyone, that's why there is competition in how well the wrestlers perform to see if the crowd likes them. Lets bring up your favorite tag team the new day. The new day, one year ago, were ALL jobbers, aka they lose because they got nothing to do with them. Wwe told them, find a gimmick that works with the crowd, or you are gone. Come the newday gimmick. The crowd loves it. Wwe sees how well new day does so they make it so newday wins. Now they are champion. Before newday was champion, it was the prime time players. The prime time players were popular, but the newday were MORE popular. Competition, changing the tag team champs, SPORT.

I mean just because someone gets injuried doing their job doesn't mean it's a sport. If someone gets injured doing a Broadway show, does that mean theater is also a sport?

I'd argue that WWE is more like physically-demanding entertainment than an actually sport. Now, this is just WWE, not wrestling in general. Everyone knows the WWE has a script of sorts they follow throughout a season.

Yeah there's a difference between Broadway and wrestling. Broadway doesn't give you that big of an inherent risk like wrestling in a ring does. Sure it's scripted but the moves are all real and people get hurt often.

That being said, I've watched wwe since I was young and honestly I have to say its more soap opera now than strictly the wrestling portion.
