Vehicles/Aircraft

=Wheeled=

This section covers Arma 3's wheeled vehicle. Wheeled Vehicle sacrifices durability and protection for mobility. This makes them excellent for transport, and skirmish tactics.

AFV-4 Gorgon

The AFV-4 Gorgon is the standard IFV/APC (Infantry Fighting Vehicle/Armoured Personnel Carrier) of AAF (Altis Armed Forces)

Seated to accommodate 11 people, with 8 being passengers, 1 driver, 1 gunner and 1 commander, it can effectively carry a fire-team or a small squad into combat and provide fire support with it's 30mm CTWS Cannon (140 Rounds MP and 60 rounds AP) , a single M200 6.5mm Coaxial Machine gun (1000 rounds) and it's 2 Titan ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missile) Making it a threat to Infantry, vehicles and tanks. With a top speed of ~103 KM/H (64 MPH), and decent off road capabilities, it is effective for skirmishing tactics, Armoured transport and possesses the ability to be amphibious, making it a viable for sea and water transport/assault but at a lower top speed, leaving it vulnerable.

Despite being an IFV/APC, it can still take a few punches before giving out. It can survive a AT Rocket and if lucky, drive off with severe damage, and still be combat effective, yet a GM6 Lynx combined with the skills of a experienced marksman, can easily disable and kill the crew with a couple of well placed shots. However, going toe to toe with a MBT (Main Battle Tank) or an attack aircraft, will leave it a burning wreck in mere seconds. This makes it excel within urban combat, where mobility is even more important than durability. Meaning it can perfectly support infantry in towns and still have the chance to retreat if hit by AT.

Strider

The Strider is a MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) Reconnaissance/Troop transport all terrain vehicle standard to the AAF (Altis Armed Forces)

Despite being the same vehicle, there is two variations of this vehicle. The first is the unarmed Strider, with seats for the driver, commander and 2 passengers.

This version of the vehicle is used for reconnaissance, as it sacrifices its weaponry for a observation periscope packaged with thermal imaging, and a laser marker.

The second version of the vehicle is the armed version, either equipped with a single remote controlled RCWS 12.7mm HMG (2x 200 rounds) or a single remote controlled RCWS 40mm GMG (1x 96 rounds High Explosive) packaged with thermal imaging and 2x smoke generators. Despite the weaponry it packs and it's light armour, it can effectively support infantry or engage infantry, as it armour and bulletproof glass can withstand small arms fire and shrapnel's. Though be aware that a single AT rocket or high caliber round will make short work of the vehicle.

Having a top speed of 128 KM/H (79 MPH) and amazing off road mobility, it is a extremely mobile and versatile vehicle. Allowing you to climb hills and move around with ease, making it a amazing reconnaissance tool.
