LAG SPIKES

I was playing a few comps recently and i noticed that i would have these random lag spikes (20ping to 120ping). It would happen pretty much everytime i started getting in a gunfight. I went on the JB server as well and i found the same thing, i know its not my audio because i've had my headset for around 2 weeks and nothing has happened before, I've closed every single application other than CSGO and Steam and I still lag. I've never had this problem before besides a couple days ago and it makes playing the game very difficult as I just rubberband everywhere, and aiming is pointless. I've rebooted my laptop and it seems to lower the amount that i lag by a little, but it never goes away.

Maybe someone in your house is streaming videos or downloading stuff at the same time you are playing

My friend had the same problem, he ended up reinstalling windows 10 as there was an error with the original download.

if it ever occurs again you should see if you are having packet loss, if so contact your internet provider. i had this issue with packet loss a while ago, that made me lagg in specific points on a map or whenever i tried to shoot people
