For example, Transcend Military Drop Tested 1 TB USB 3.0 M3 External Hard Drive ($54.99) weights around 220 grams, that's less than a bottle of water. Not to mention you don't have to keep it connected to the laptop at all times. Can just keep it at home and use it whenever you need to. Exactly. The 256GB SSD model is a lot more expensive than actually getting an external SSD drive. Well, in this case, I have already looked up if it was able to run Civ 5 and CS:GO without much problems. (it's fine according to many others) I don't intend to max out the settings anyways. Also, probably good to note that I won't really be playing a lot of "big title" games that come with high requirements to play. It's not because of the laptop or computer, it's just that I don't particularly like playing them and mostly play Indie games or web-browser games. Hold up, since when? It requires a 20-30GB partition at most and they plan on decreasing that. I am very sure my partition on my PC is far smaller than 60GB. ------------- Anyways, I got the MacBook Pro 13" Retina with 128GB SDD (everything else normal) with a huge discount from a friend (still in the box) for 780 euros. The thing on amazon goes for like 850 pounds, so that's quite a huge discount. (it was his birthday present to me). As far as gaming goes, it's not really great. But apart from that it's a very well built, fancy looking, feature filled laptop. If anything ill sell it for more and buy something else. Thanks for all of your input though guys, really appreciated! Iew, apple, you disappoint me q.q Link to comment
Guest harro
Don't let people beat you up over picking a laptop with integrated graphics. External GPU housing will probably be mainstream and a lot cheaper during this year and the next. If anything, you SHOULDN'T want a dedicated GPU in the laptop itself, the heat output is going to kill your hardware lifespan a lot quicker and it's definitely not worth it. 2 Link to comment

Did you miss the part where I got it for 780 euros? It costs around 1000-1100 eur on Amazon. (I could sell it for more than I got it for) 60 GB is required. After installing Office and all the other programs. Windows itself is almost 30 GB. So you won't be able to install anything else besides Windows if your partition is only 30 GB. Tbh buying a MacBook Pro is a waste of money. Even if it's still cheap. Why is it a waste of money? People often bring it up though they can't back it up without: "Oh you can get a better computer for games!" (hint: I am not getting this for gaming) Show me a laptop of the same size, build quality, screen resolution, weight, features, that is considerably cheaper than a MacBook Pro on Amazon ~1100 eur. (and then remember that I got it for 780 euros) Don't let people beat you up over picking a laptop with integrated graphics. I don't intend to be playing games on my laptop 24/7. Not to mention I don't play any games on my PC, asides from some very little CS:GO and Civ V now and then. Why do you dislike their products? If you'd just happen to have a valid installation DVD & Serial code on hand, of course. Those things are rather pricey. Other than that, I dislike their customer service, the design of their products, the extreme price-tag involved with any apple product and action relating to any of their products and simply the overhype of iAnything. It's really not important if you're only going to stick with those two, but there's always a possibility that a game will come out in the future that you might get excited about that will require higher specs, so it's nice to know that there's always the availability to upgrade without having to purchase a whole new PC. 1 Link to comment

Better features. And way better for occasional gaming. More diskspace, better gpu, bigger screen (15,6" and FHD 1920x1080). You get the picture. As I said way overpriced MacBook for what you get. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0146DD02G?keywords=Asus%20laptop&qid=1456502094&ref_=sr_1_8&s=pc&sr=1-8 I can post more examples if you want? 1 Link to comment

I can post more examples if you want? His macbook has a QHD screen which I'd be hard pressed to find under $900. Also laptop pricing isn't just based on hardware. Build quality + form play a huge factor, and if you've ever had an ASUS laptop (Believe me, I've owned many), their lower-end laptop build qualities are garbage. Though I do agree Apple is overpriced and I would never pay full retail price for one, he still got a good deal. 1 Link to comment
