how do you

view a demo

 

i have firefox and when u download it auto saves to desktop. so i go into CSS bring up console.

 

lets the the name of the demo is niels666.dem . I put

"playdemo niels666" w/o quotes. I have also tried "playdemo niels666.dem"

 

and after that the console says

"

"CDemoFile::Open: couldn't open file niels666.dem for reading."

You have to save the demo to your cstrike folder

 

C:\Steam\SteamApps\blah@blah.com\counter-strike source\cstrike

It just means the file you're requesting isn't there

 

try

 

playdemo "niels666"

 

 

Make sure as red said its in ur cstrike

 

also try

 

demoui

 

and will give you a list of your current demos in cstrike

[*Queen VenomousFate*]

save demo to your cstrike folder, then open up source, go into console type

 

playdemo "demo's name"

 

Dont put in the quotation marks though
