To be honest, and no offense to newbie, the guide he made was pretty useless in regards to advising new players to read it. No one is going to join the server for the first time and actually read that guide. Who's going to want to spend 10 minutes reading that instead of actually playing? Not to mention I don't think that guide officially serves as the rules that Onion and Wawa set, but people would refer to it as if it was. .

As for the faq, I think it would be nice to have them be able to type !faq and it links them to the clarification thread.

The game mode itself doesn't require a long comprehensive guide to understand. CTs give orders, Ts follow them. I think for the most part that the more detailed rules plugin we have, paired with the faq link to the clarification thread will suffice for helping new players.

Reading over the guide again, it's good for people to learn a bit more about the game mode, but like I said in my first post, the vast majority of new players joining for the first time won't take the time to read the entire thing. People don't read. Ask anyone that works with people. You'll have the occasional God sends that do take the time to read, but most people will type !guide, see it and not bother.

Really in the end we had it up for a good while and it never caused any problems so I don't care if it's added back, but I think the rules, faq and people being friendly is the best guide we can use. Newbies guide serves best as a reassessment or advanced teaching if you will.

In the end, that's just the people's fault since we went out of our way to provide them said info. I still like Newbies guide as a more advanced read when you want to get a bit more than just "this = this." It's at least nice to have around.

I'll figure out what's fucked today, the plugin must be broken since I haven't touched it in awhile.

Just checked on the server and the plugin still works fine for me, so idk what's up. Perhaps cl_disablehtmlmotd is put to 0 on your end but idk what else could be the cause of this. Overall the plugin is fine and working so there's no fixing needed.

Even I didn't first bother read it at all but in the end skimmed and yea, seems nice to have around. Shortly put "I agree" on what you said about things being peoples fault.

So far I think we got everything pretty well put out there and system has worked well on what comes to rule enforcing for majority of time as mistakes do also happen, but they are handled accordingly.
