Dominic Posted June 25, 2016 Content Count: 5678 Joined: 01/07/16 Status: Offline Share Posted June 25, 2016 So, my mic (HyperX 7.1), works on TeamSpeak but not on Steam chat/CS:GO/Overwatch chat. I'm currently running Windows 10. I've already tried: -Verifying the integrity of my game cache: -Updating my drivers -Detecting the audio devices in game on Steam (Help and Options > Audio Settings > MIC SETUP) I might try using a different port for my mic but I don't know because I feel like I'm missing something very simple and there's no point to doing that. If you've ever had this problem you can tell me what you used to fix it or just give me recommendations on what to do. People used to not even be able to see my name at the bottom like I'm trying to talk, but I got somewhere today by verifying my game cache because now according to @bop he sees my name at the bottom and I give off a weird sound. Any help is appreciated, thank you. Link to comment

Google "Microphone doesn't work in Steam games" or "Microphone doesn't work in cs:go" and see if there's anything worthwhile there first. If it doesn't work add me on skype/steam and I can try fixing it for you via screenshare or something. I think something similar happened to me as well, but I can't remember how I fixed it. 2 Link to comment

Thing is, it isn't only Steam games/CS:GO (as I said in OP) which makes it really weird. I'm going to try this though and see what I get, thanks. Link to comment

This worked, thanks Pan. Link to comment
