I have been saving up for a while and i figured, since it is now summer, i should buy one. I have 700 dollars to spend. I have been researching for a while, so hopefully you guys will have some feedback on the following parts: Processor: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor MOBO: MSI B150I GAMING PRO AC Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: RX 480 Case:Thermaltake Core V1 Snow Edition Mini ITX Tower Case PSU: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply As you see, this is pretty much 700 dollars. I decided to go the mini itx route because the case can cool my components much better, with alot less sound. Thanks for taking your time to look at this, i would love feeedback. Link to comment

Difference is, you can overclock it by a huge amount and it has a higher base frequency. GPU has a really good price to performance ratio. RAM doesn't really have a noticable impact. However, I'd consider getting 2x 8GB sticks CASE is rather a personal preference. If you like the design, sure, go with it. HDD: 1TB is a standard these days (also WD is a good pick). There are also not too expensive m.2 slot SSDs that would add a LOT to your rig, but since you have only $700 to spend, rip that idea. PSU should be enough considering the low TDP of the RX480, but wouldn't hurt to get a 600W instead. 2 Link to comment

Liquid is always better but it comes at a cost. A fan is sometimes unreliable, as I am building a PC for my friend who's PC overheated because he had a fan instead of liquid. Link to comment

Strawberry Posted July 5, 2016 Content Count: 562 Joined: 10/05/11 Status: Offline Share Posted July 5, 2016 a friend of mine got the rx 480 early, and it doesn't perform as promised, 2 in crossfire didn't beat the 1080. its really good for its value, but is 100$ over promised price (at least in norway). personally i like nvidia better. Whatever GPU you get, fuck the reference cards, get at least dualfan on the card to get better cooling. the tunnelfan is a joke imo 1 Link to comment

I'm not sure what you think they promised, but they delivered on exactly what they promised from the beginning. It was people hyping everything up that made it seem not as promised. 1 Link to comment

In the future, the driver's will continue to make the card a lot more powerfull Link to comment

Although with some adjustments you could make it work with a good sized ssd to put the OS on. For example getting a cheaper mobo and a wifi card or powerline adapter instead. 1 Link to comment
