[Rejected] Adding Ads

Here's my idea, maybe you guys could put ads both on the site and sometimes on the servers so you can make a bit of money out of the servers since I know that not many people are donating or subscribing. By doing this you could maybe host some new servers like a csgo "Murder" server and/or buy skins for raffles

Pretty sure having ads on our servers would drive people away from staying long term. I'd at least feel indifferent seeing a video to appear while playing my favorite server. Therefore we would likely lose potential subscribers because we felt the need to put ads on servers. If we were in absolute need of money then we would maybe consider it, but we're probably at the best that we've been in the past 4 years so I don't think it's on our to-do list.

The best form of ads imo is through social media

I'm pretty there is plenty of subscribers and donations every month.

The goal of 200$ a month from what I have seen is always met or goes over so I dont think ads would be necessary.

Well the problem with servers like Murder and Prop Hunt and RP is that they start out really strong and then the userbase decreases drastically but we have active userbases in all of the servers that we have now.

We've never had to use nor will we ever use ads to fund anything. One of the big reasons is we've never been that much of a financial hurt for a long time. Another reason is in doing advertisements we would have to set up more like a business than we really need to. For all of us this is a hobby. We do this in our free time and like to do this kind of stuff.

 

Those two reasons is what we've always used for people saying why don't you do ads.

 

I think it's pretty commendable for a community that has been around as long as we have to not ever need to do ads and we believe it is also important to our players.
