Paintball

I always loved the paintball games made for the Xbox in early 2000s. Apparently no one else did because it never stuck and pc has never seen it. I think it would be interesting to have either a paintball server or event. 2 teams in a rectangular map with obstacles. 1hp and semi weapons only. I could see this being tons of fun and I'd be playing it with friends for hours a day. Seems easy enough to make (I know it would probably be an event because servers are expensive).

 

What do you guys think? (No I didn't just assume your gender)

I remember there being some kind of paintball map/mod for cs 1.6 but can't for the life of me remember what it was like.

I think it would be fun as an event but as a server it wouldn't be worth it. If you want you can just add me and we can just get like 10 people to play with just friends

It's just an idea for an event in the future. I know that servers are expensive and unless it'll be guaranteed successful the server would fail.

@Danno, that paintball video is a private plugin by another community. I looked into that a couple of weeks ago. They still didn't finalize their plugin despite having a forums and server up and ready. So there really is no plugin on alliedmodders exists and the only one that does exist for CS:GO is privately owned by another community. The only paintball plugin that exists for SM is just changes the bullet decal to paintballs instead of the actual mod, but that plugin is also outdated to even use and create our own cvar settings for paintball.

 

Shame because I even thought this would've been a good MGT idea.

Re-bumping this thread to inform people that this is now possible after a Paintball plugin that was released a couple of hours ago. Expect this as a future MGT event now.
