Site Credits •A steam gamer currency of credits (they would of course have no actual $ value), which could be acquired in a variety of ways that would promote activity and friendliness within the community. How would you aquire SG forum credits? •A daily login bonus. -Each consecutive day that a user logs in, they will receive a small amount of credits (will increase as they log onto the forums for more consecutive days). For example : **The days the user logs in must be consecutive** Day 1 - 5 credits Day 2 - 7 credits Day 3 - 10 credits Day 4 - 13 credits Day 5- 15 credits Day 6 - 20 credits Day 7 - 25 credits **Cycle resets after Day 7 or after a user doesn't sign in for 1 or more days. •Having your posts thanked. 1 thank = 3 credits. If caught abusing this system by making alternate accounts, or having friends thank rediculous posts, you would get a ban just like you do on the SG servers for an ___ amount of time. Also all your existing credits would be reset. •Playing and scoring points in the arcade (could be a way to revive the arcade). •Purchasing credits via PayPal/Skins just like regular server credits can be acquired. 100 forum credits - $1.00 500 credits - $5.00 1,000 credits - $10.00 These would be non refundable purchases and you would get a forum badge symbolizing your contribution to the forums. •Any other way the BD would feel like having included. Can you send other people credits? -No. Where can I use my SG forum credits? -In the store of course. We will get to what the store has to offer momentarily. Can we earn any credit multipliers like the server has? -No. The only people who would get multiplied daily login bonuses, and more points for certain tasks than regular users, would be the subscribers because why not, they are supporting the community at a literal cost. Are forum credits separate from server credits? -Yes, they are completely seperate. There would be no way to combine them. SG Forum Store -A place where you can obviously cash your credits in for special items and features. What can we buy from the store? -Emoticons that can only be unlocked by purchasing them with credits. -A full custom background to your profile page (just like the steam backgrounds, it would stretch across the entire back of the page). -Decorations/Stickers that you could add to the area of your profile that people see whenever you make a post on the forums (kinda like how subs get the sub decoration on theirs, BUT COOLER). -A forum name change (can only be bought once, and users can see your past name if they went to your profile and requested to see). -All the other cool and more creative stuff the BD / TA would add. Can users gift other users store items? -No If we purchase an item from the store, but later on decide we don't want it, can we sell it for a portion of what we bought it for? -This would be up to the BD, but I would say yes. If you have any questions that I didn't cover, plz feel free to ask in the comments. Link to comment

Black Rain Posted August 20, 2016 Content Count: 6759 Joined: 06/23/13 Status: Offline Share Posted August 20, 2016 Purchasing credits with PayPal already exists and has been around since CS:S times. I don't see the point in paying a name change for credits when BDs do it upon request. I don't like the idea of paying for emoticons either. Full custom background profile page sounds better as a Subscriber perk imo. 1 Link to comment

If you had read the thread you would have seen that these are forum credits, separate from the regular server credits. Link to comment

Apologies, thought it was more clear than I guess it appeared to be. Updated thread with a spot that will remedy that confusion for any others who would have otherwise been confused. Thanks. SpikedRocker Posted August 20, 2016 Content Count: 6242 Joined: 04/13/08 Status: Offline Share Posted August 20, 2016 We've talked about this in the past and really just haven't found it worth the time or effort due to the lack of things to use points on. Things that you listed either we give for free anyway cause we aren't asses or just isn't worth the time to code it into the forum. The feature really neat idea, but we've always felt it would/could generate more forum spam than we want to deal with and that people would not find it that interesting. 3 Link to comment
